Remember Chatroulette? That creepy webcam-driven site that randomly pairs you with drunk college kids, depressed single women and masturbating weirdos the world over? Though banished to obscurity (or a strategically disguised bookmark on your browser) for the last few years, everyone’s favorite voyeuristic site seems to be making a comeback as of late.
First Kim K. “flashed” her tatas to strangers on a recent ep of Keeping Up with the Kardashians (getting a ‘dash endorsement is about on par with the Dr. Oz or Good Housekeeping seal of approval, duh). And now a spoof site of sorts is emerging with Catroulette, a pet adoption platform with a user interface pulled directly from its less-than-office-appropriate progenitor. Like the 2010 throwback Kittehroulette, the site’s nexting model lets you scan through videos of cats and kittens rather than Ts and As. Lending a bit of a humanitarian spin, Catroulette goes a step beyond with its aim to find loving homes for the featured animals, showing users exactly how many people have skipped over each cat (cue the waterworks).
Okay, so the cats are all in Belgium = problem, but who doesn’t love a good excuse to watch cute kitten footage, amiright?!
