They may not be able to form full sentences, use a toilet, or tie their own shoes, but that doesn’t mean toddlers can’t score a coveted invite to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Spotted in the front rows of shows and behind the scenes hob-knobbing with models this past week was Harper Beckham, Rachel Zoe’s son Skylar, and Alexander Wang’s niece Aila.
Harper has a moment of design inspiration
Before leggy models slinked down the runway, 2’1” Harper Beckham gave her mom’s runway a trial run waddle, sporting a white cotton dress and simple white bow as her only accessory. (Clearly the minimalist look is in for Spring 2013 for the under-three crowd.)
Rachel Zoe’s son Skylar was seen at his mom’s show rocking a muted plaid jumper, mustard yellow and a woven brown hat. Does his mom also style Mumford & Sons?
Skylar wonders why he’s wearing long underwear in public.
But perhaps the most innovative of all the tots in tow at Lincoln Center, Alexander Wang’s niece Aila was seen sporting a revolutionary combo of Chanel, Nike sneakers and black snakeskin dress.
Comfort + classic + club dress =Tres chic?
Suri Cruise, you’re so last season.
