I’m a proud Kentucky transplant, but after three years in Boston I’ve noticed my Southern drawl waning, if not altogether replaced by a non-regional (read: nondescript) accent. Well, thanks to the fried food doyenne herself, Ms. Paula Deen, I can now “put a little South” on my mouth. The food fanatics at Grub Street recently unearthed photos of a true sub-Mason-Dixon-line gem: butter-flavored lip balm. Available at Paula’s store in Savannah, the countrified chapsticks also come in banana pudding and key lime pie flavors.
While Paula Deen-branded lip gloss may seem embarrassing to some, it’s a hell of a lot better than that other Deen-branded train wreck.
