Whenever I have trouble falling asleep, I always turn to a trusty website called StumbleUpon. If you’ve never Stumbled, well…you probably should not start now because I am telling you, this is one of the most addictive websites you will ever visit. However, it’s also great for lazy afternoons or wired late nights (or, let’s call a spade a spade here—if you’re ever bored at work) [editor’s note: not that that ever happens at marlo marketing/communications!]. All you do is select your interests from an extensive list that includes anything from scuba diving and sex advice to matchmaking and mining/metallurgy (seriously?), and it feeds you random website after random website as many times as you click “Stumble”…so you can see why this hobby is a huge distraction, not to mention, completely awesome.
Anyway, a few weeks ago I StumbledUpon (clever, eh?) a DIY and crafts page that I thought looked so inventive and fun. I also happen to be moving to a new apartment in the fall and am looking for any excuse to collect useless household items and revamp them to ensure an eclectic décor.
These do-it-yourself projects are perfect for any afternoon when you’re feeling creative and looking to clean out some old clutter. Who knew you could make an earring tree out of an old cheese grater? Struggling over ways to store bags and purses? All you need is a rod and some shower curtain hooks. Whatever you decide to make, please keep it classy. I do NOT want to show up at your house to find you sitting in a room like this all day.
