One of the perks of working in PR is having the opportunity to attend some of the city’s best culinary events, networking parties and cocktail soirees. And while I love getting my schmooze (and booze) on with local muckety mucks, I find it nearly impossible to take advantage of the myriad bites doled out by top chefs and caterers. How a person gracefully balances a drink in one hand and a plate in the other while trying to chew inconspicuously and carry on scintillating conversation is beyond me.
That’s why I’m jazzed to learn about Fred and Friends’ Finger Food plates – a handy little number that slips onto your finger like a ring, allowing you to hold your nosh and beverage in the same hand, while freeing up the other for eating, shaking hands and general gesticulating. Now you can eat, drink and be merry without the fear of spilling mini crab cake sliders or blue cheese-bacon crostini down the front of your silk shirt. Party fouls, be damned!
